i will watch the final episode tonight...what a journey
[SHOW]
it was crazy to see omar get taken down, and by that punk kid...but i understand it's all part of the game, and no one character is bigger than the show, or shouldn't be...and that 2nd to last episode was great, chock full of great moments/dialogue/etc

Unless I missed something, I don't think what Daniels' assets are is what matters, just that he wasn't always so clean and he and his wife benefited from some shady stuff whether it be from stealing from drug dealers of taking a share of some seizure money or whatever.

yeah, i know it doesn't matter, i was just curious...ironically, after i asked that question an episode came up where they do mention that it seems as if he took some money seized from a drug bust or was in a district that allowed it/was common

I think it's not uncommon. And I disagree with you. I get paid similarly for a similar type job and I don't think I ought to get to steal [expletive].

there is also a scene ( i believe in the first season ) of herc and carver taking money seized from a bust too (before it's been accounted for)

if it happens in this show, im gonna say that it happens enough...considering who is writing and consulting for this show

Politicians, VP's, StockBrokers, Salesmen, they all steal. I won't defend them one bit, but I have more forgiveness for cops.
