Meiwes read a Star Trek book for three hours whilst his voluntary victim was bleeding to death in the bath.

Probably didn't feel too strongly about living but didn't want to kill himself.

Bleeding to death (though of course not by having your genital hacked off) can actually be one of the more painless methods of sucide.

Blood-letting releases endorphins and it acts as a mood-enhancer, which helps to explain people who cut themselves when they're depressed.

I remember when that happened. They were pretty frustrated because there weren't any laws against cannibalism and they weren't sure if they could get a conviction against him since his "victim" volunteered.

i have seen the movie and allegedly it's very close to what really happened..
the guy videotaped everything.. and this has been going on for a long time..
i remember reading about it a few years ago..

oh.. and don't watch the movie.. it's easily one of the most disturbing things
i've ever seen.. and i've seen a lot of nasty movies..
