On one hand, the thing that falls looks farther away and then all of a sudden appears right where that car is. It doesn't look even nearly that close in the gif. On the other hand, the car in front of the one filming puts on his breaks and somebody opens their door really fast. I'm not sure what to think of it.

Considering that the car with camera doesn't swerve after the other car is crushed, I doubt it.
