I watched Body of Lies this weekend. I like Leonardo Di Caprio. Russel Crowe w/ a southern accent is interesting. The movie wasn't bad. I didn't know if it was trying to highlight the war on terror is being ran by soccer dad's living in suburban America, or sympathy for the Middle Easterners caught in the middle. It was fairly entertaining though.

felt pretty much the same.. it was way darker than i thought it would be though..
The scene where the kid goes to get the autograph almost made me vomit.

cardsfansince82 wrote:Transsiberian had a ton of potential. Good cinematography and a great setting for a film with the train and the snow. I actually felt quite a bit of tension and suspense the first 2/3 of the film. Ben Kingsley was awesome as usual. But the ending was just bad.

6/10
Transsiberian -
I had low expectations after seeing a blurb that this movie is akin to a Hitchcock thriller - that tag will doom a movie to failure.

It got to be a runaway freight train. Some parts were almost comical
[SHOW]
such as near the end when Roy commandeers the train - the girl Jessie expresses a little dismay when sweet ole Roy (Woody) knocks someone over the head with an oh-so-handy wrench- when she had done the same a thousand km of tundra ago. The shark had already been jumped.
I agree with Cards82 -the movie has you for awhile - with the suspense; and this had a chance to be a decent movie with the setting and Ben Kingsley etc , but it just doesn't work out. Woody Harrelson played Woody from Cheers again, so it may have worked better if Cliff and Norm were on train too drinking vodka shots. Toss in Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder and its a Silver Streak remake.

But hey, I enjoyed it ok -2.5 stars

Watched Pineapple Express the other night. It was stupid. But funny.

Just had a lazy night with the girlfriends and watched two movies:

My Best Friends Girl - Definitely didnt see this being a chick flick, but it was exactly that. Now, Ive seen Dane Cook live stand up and thought he was hilarious, but this movie continued his streak of being absolutely NOT funny in any movie that he has been in.

Super Size Me - I had seen this movie back in '04 but my girlfriend is on a health kick right now and thought she may enjoy seeing this. I cant think she will be eating fast food anytime soon.

Strangely, I hate Dane Cook as much as any sane person and yet I thought that movie was half decent.
