Lots of good supporting roles and probably the best set of small perky boobs I've ever seen. As far as mindless comedies go I enjoyed it more than any of the recent Will Ferrell or Apatow/Rogen movies.
Everything Paul Rudd touches turns to gold here lately.

Nope... but I'll bump it way up in my queue. Gimme a week or two and I'll let you know.

This absolves me for missing the GRB meet-up.
Wrong. You are unforgiven.

I just watched confessions of a dangerous mind. None of the female actors (Julia Roberts, Drew Barrymore) had believable characters.
Biggest highlight was Brad Pitt and Matt Damon in tiny, unmentioned bit parts.

I finally saw Zodiac. I really, really liked it - I'd put it a shade below Se7en and Fight Club but nonetheless excellent. It reminds me a lot of JFK with its continually building mountain of evidence, huge cast of suspects/witnesses/etc. and the lack of any definitive proof. At times it seems a bit schizoprenic, but given the nature of the case I thought Fincher set the right mood most of the time. And it had some really intense/creepy scenes.

That scene in the basement...Jesus Christ, that's sleep-with-the-lights-on creepy right there.
And John Carroll Lynch needs more work, I've liked him a ton in everything I've seen him in: this, Fargo, Gran Torino, even the prison guard in Face/Off and Drew Carey's cross-dressing brother.

Just got back from watching "Departures", the Japanese movie that won the Best Foreign Language Oscar last month. I gotta say I was not very impressed. There is certainly some charm running through the movie, especially for the first hour or so. But that charm gets trampled on in the last hour or so when melodrama, triteness, sentimentality, heavy-handedness, faux-symbolism, and an overbearing soundtrack of horrible music just overwhelms everything positive about the movie. Too bad, because the movie deals with some pretty fertile themes (death, redemption, pride, professionalism).

There are so many great movies that come from Japan, I can't believe that this very conventional one is the one that gets the attention.

Well we are the country that produces garbage like Babel, Crash and countless other movies that suffer from the same maladies.

Cinematic circle jerks.
