Uhh.. what?

Because he called the Obama ad against McCain for his computer illiteracy terrible? I'm trying to figure out what you're talking about.
No, he said something to the effect that if was Roosevelt during the great depression Roosevelt would have been on TV talking about it. Probably not a biggie, but he does say some things...
Nobody is gonna deny that Biden lets his mouth overload his ass sometimes. But this gaffe is really no different than the Obama 57 states gaffe. It happens. If I was getting 3 hours of sleep a night, prepping for a nationally televised debate and giving 3 or 4 speeches a day, I'd be exhausted, too.

Nobody denies that people make mistakes. But a mistake like that is a mental lapse. Not knowing what the Bush Doctrine is? That's just being knowledgeable. I've never attacked McCain for making a slip like that. I'll happily attack him if he says the fundamentals of the economy are strong, however. That's not a slip. That's a statement he's made repeatedly and stands by.
Stop arguing with me. :)

Charlie Gibson didn't even know what he was talking about with the Bush Doctrine.

But most of what I was referring to has been mentioned. Other than the coal plants thing. http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/ ... ml?showall

1) Coal
2) McCain ad
3) AIG (not a "huge" controversy, just another example of how he doesn't see eye to eye with his opponent, er, partner)
4) Depression/TV/Roosevelt deal

That he was "forced down" in Afghanistan isn't a big deal to me. He said it as if it was under fire, but he was forced down. It was just because of weather.

All in all, a pretty bad day for Joe.

1) Coal
McCain and Palin don't agree on drilling in ANWR. The #1 and #2 typically will disagree on an issue or two. Sometimes even more. Things like that happen. You'll be hard pressed to find two candidates who agree set in stone on every single issue.
BW23 wrote:2) McCain ad
That ad was lame in a couple of ways. One being that McCain can't even use a keyboard, if I'm not mistaken. And it was just poorly produced. Nobody really liked it. The campaign dropped a dud. Biden admitted it.

Obama said Biden should have waited and gathered all the facts before he spoke about it and I think that was that. As I said before. Candidates disagree on issues. Even when they're on the same ticket. It happens. I think this was just more Joe speaking before he knew everything, though.

Once again, stupid gaffe. No different than the Obama 57 states gaffe. Biden isn't an eloquent speaker, but meh. These mistakes happen when you've been on the trail for so long.

Didn't hear about that one.

They can't all be sunshine and rainbows. McCain had a miserable entire week last week. Joe is having a bad day or two. They happen. Politics is like a roller coaster.

And that was my only point. At least it's all entertaining.

I completely agree with Biden on that commercial. A real clunker.

Did anyone see the opening to SNL this week...the McCain ad one? I thought it was very funny. Sure, it was taking a shot at McCain, but it could have been any campaign. Plus, I'm glad Darrell Hammond is still getting work on there.

The one about Barkley was my favorite.

After the Tina Faye/Palin skit the week ago everything kind of paled in comparison.

Not quite sure what to make of this yet, but the cynic in me has to note the following two passages:
The Arizona senator called on his Democratic rival, Barack Obama, to do the same.
In response, the Obama campaign said Obama called McCain at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday to ask if the Republican nominee would join him in a joint statement of "shared principles and conditions" for the proposal. It said McCain called back at 2:30 p.m. -- shortly before his New York announcement -- to agree, and "The two campaigns are currently working together on the details."
I guess McCain had to get one last little bit of campaigning in.
