Fark! Canada's population is going to increase if McCain wins this damn thing. Or, at least, the amount of times Americans say "I'm moving to Canada" will increase.PujolJunkie wrote:Since the Republican convention, the narrative has been nothing but positive about Palin. MSNBC removed Matthews and Olbermann from the news desk. We're talking MAIN STREAM MEDIA. Television. Prime time.BW23 wrote:Okay. I'll echo what has already been said by cardinalkarp.
The media has yet to run a negative story on Palin. Seriously?
And it's almost as if you're suggesting the media is conservative. I believe that's just one network. The others are far, far from it, and you know that.
The headlines I've seen today:
McCain over Obama by 10 in USA Today/Gallup
McCain leading Obama 47-46
McCain over Obama 5 in Gallup
Bush: Palin is an "inspired pick"
McCain attacks Obama on military spending
No mention of her son going to Iraq to avoid jail time. One mention of her church, compared to non-stop coverage of Rev. Wright. One mention of an Obama ad where they didn't even mention the details of the ad, despite showing a McCain/Palin ad in it's ENTIRETY on both networks.
Palin is the media darling right now. The past week has been Palinmania. I guess it's only fair to assume that Obama is a celebrity and in the media's back pocket, but when you say it about Palin, it's preposterous.

You're right. I'm sorry. He's a crazy, scary, dangerous, radical black guy. The other guy is just a wee bit controversial Alaskan preacher who says hilariously out of context things that are distorted by those silly liberals and have no real bearing on anything.BW23 wrote:You really see no difference in "her preacher" and Rev. Wright? The two situations are exactly the same? Are you really serious?
All I did was post the link to the court record. If you can't honestly have a conversation without acting like a child and saying R U SERIOUS and LOL OMG WTF BBQ after every sentence, then why even bother?

You're right, I don't know why I bother with your ridiculous attempts at slamming Palin/McCain. I guess it's just fun.
There's so much difference in the two religious aspects here. And it really has nothing to do with what the guys said.
Obama went to Wright's church for how long? He defended Wright after the comments started coming out. He had Wright speaking for him. He had heard him say these things while sitting in church. It wasn't until someone finally convinced him he needed to separate from Wright that he distanced himself from him. How he handled all of that was completely idiotic, particularly for a guy of Obama's intelligence.
Palin hasn't attended this church for very long, she hasn't defended the comments and we have no idea if she's ever been in attendance when these things have been said.
I hope you can see the slight difference there.
When you post ridiculous comments, expect ridiculous responses. If you can't handle it, the just ignore the responses. I know the comments will continue until well after November.

Yeah, you're right. You're FAR too sophisticated and completely over me or anyone else on this forum by trying to have a conversation with those who disagree with your opinions. Psh. Us silly liberals. Trying to communicate and have a debate or a conversation with you. I'm so sorry for being so ridiculous! I'll try harder to be more smarter.BW23 wrote: You're right, I don't know why I bother with your ridiculous attempts at slamming Palin/McCain. I guess it's just fun.
Yeah. You're right. And he didn't cover all of this and answer all of these questions in the race speech he gave shortly afterward. I guess when he said that Wright's views didn't represent his own, that he was just being a lying, dodging liberal. He wasn't being sincere. That was just covering his ass. I love the optimism when it comes to Conservatives about their own people, but when it comes to Liberals, they're lying to save their face. It must be the moral aspect of it all. Liberals have no morals, dontchaknow.BW23 wrote:Obama went to Wright's church for how long? He defended Wright after the comments started coming out. He had Wright speaking for him. I guess condemning and rejecting someone's comments don't matter.
Hey, has Palin condemned HER pastor's remarks yet?
There was ABSOLUTELY no proof that Obama was in attendance when Wright was saying the things he said. Find me a single fact that says Obama was in attendance when Wright gave his racist sermons. One. Palin hasn't defended them, but she's given freaking speeches at the church. And she hasn't spoke out against them either.BW23 wrote:Palin hasn't attended this church for very long, she hasn't defended the comments and we have no idea if she's ever been in attendance when these things have been said.
Okay, okay! I'm so sorry for being so ridiculous. I'll try not to disrespect you by posting my opinions anymore. Feel free to reply to everyone who doesn't believe the way you do as "ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS HILARRRRRRIIIIIIOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSZZZZZZ LLOOOOOOLLLL" It makes you look so mature.BW23 wrote:When you post ridiculous comments, expect ridiculous responses.
