If they want to attack her on something, make it a policy issue. Like when she slashed funding for special needs education as governor, before she had her own special needs child.
None if it is gaining traction anyway. The media REFUSES to run a negative story about Palin or McCain. It'll run 600 stories about the way the polls have swung for McCain, but when they swung +8 Obama, the media was quiet. Yet every single story I've heard today on MSNBC and CNN have been about McCain's bounce and Sarah Palin.
I can't say that I agree with you. I think they're running too many stories on Palin, and in the process making her a sympathetic figure, which I personally think is part of the bounce. Sticking up for the person who's getting picked on.

That isn't to say I don't think she's an odd pick to be the VP, but they need to keep the news about McCain and Obama. That's who the race is between. The media certainly doesn't help the Obama campaign by focusing too much on Palin, because let's face it, people are going to a bit wary when it comes to constant attacks on a woman.

The media has yet to run a negative story on Palin. Seriously?

And it's almost as if you're suggesting the media is conservative. I believe that's just one network. The others are far, far from it, and you know that.
Since the Republican convention, the narrative has been nothing but positive about Palin. MSNBC removed Matthews and Olbermann from the news desk. We're talking MAIN STREAM MEDIA. Television. Prime time.

The headlines I've seen today:

McCain over Obama by 10 in USA Today/Gallup
McCain leading Obama 47-46
McCain over Obama 5 in Gallup
Bush: Palin is an "inspired pick"
McCain attacks Obama on military spending

No mention of her son going to Iraq to avoid jail time. One mention of her church, compared to non-stop coverage of Rev. Wright. One mention of an Obama ad where they didn't even mention the details of the ad, despite showing a McCain/Palin ad in it's ENTIRETY on both networks.

Palin is the media darling right now. The past week has been Palinmania. I guess it's only fair to assume that Obama is a celebrity and in the media's back pocket, but when you say it about Palin, it's preposterous.

Can you enlighten me to all the negative stories run on Sarah Palin? Pointing out that she has a pregnant seventeen year old? It's mildly newsworthy on its own and moreso due to he position on abstinence education. Trooper investigation? Simply news.
The media is charged with looking into her, or any politician's, background. Ideally it would primarily be her political background but we know that is not what the people want these days.

What I heard on NPR and on whatever other liberally biased tv program I watched was "Sarah Palin hit one out of the park."
And " The Republican Party has a new star."
And how tough but feminine she is.

They are indeed running too many stories about Palin. The media has been attacked for running potential stories about Palin's controversial issues, and since they've been criticized, they've completely backed off and made her into the Prom Queen. Where's the publicizing of her Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac gaffe? Where's the publicizing of everything the blogs have been buzzing about? Nowhere. They JUST got around to the church thing and then they quickly moved on to how they're on the campaign trail. I've heard the speech from today in Missouri 6 times in the past 2 hours. Biden's JUST now getting air time on CNN. Right now. This is the first time I've heard his voice all day.

That's all they've been pointing out! And they've been absolutely slaughtered for it. Hence, why everything has been so positive. The media got scolded by the right and have completely changed their tune in a week.

They'd be crazy to compare "her church" to Rev. Wright. I can't even believe someone would suggest otherwise. Actually, yes I can.

And exactly what did her son do that would have sent him to jail? That's the first I've heard of it. And if it's actually true rather than, like the typical liberal blogger crap, then it will come out. Or should I say it would have already come out?

As I've said, blame the two campaigns for what is being reported right now. They have more control over that than anything. The only thing Obama has done is refer to his Muslim background.

You can't make the news if there's nothing newsworthy.

The conservatives did their part after the DNC. The libs haven't done a thing.

Her preacher said "God will damn America."

Rev. Wright said "God (damn) America."

You're right, DRASTIC difference. Please stop playing the conservative victim card.

Vandalism. I'm looking for the source.

And now it's out that Sarah Palin was accused of criminal negligence.

You really see no difference in "her preacher" and Rev. Wright? The two situations are exactly the same? Are you really serious?

I don't think they are the same. They are different types of [expletive].

As for religion I'm a lot more comfortable with someone in charge who isn't trying to shove their religious convictions and contradictions in my face.
