I think some of what was said about Obama is fair game. Obama indulges in some of the celebrity stuff, in my opinion. His comments about people clinging to guns were stupid. It's reasonable to call him out on those things. The comments about community organizing were not reasonable.Socnorb11 wrote: But you buy what McCain is preaching? What is this supposed to even mean?
Which, is true
When was the last time we had a president whose speech wasn't their most "endearing quality"?
He won, and speech was NOWHERE near his most endearing quality

Obamamania is running wild because of what a great orator he is not because of his positions.

He'd make a great preacher or motivational speaker. At least he has a future.
Motivation is a good thing, especially when you believe in what you're preaching.
16 years of "service". I guess you've bought into the liberal media.
I'm glad he believes in what he's preaching. I'd rather someone believe in what they say, even when they're wrong, than to lie. I'm just not buying what he's preaching.
Not a word.
But you buy what McCain is preaching? That he respects Obama, but it's OK if his colleagues mock him for two days straight?
It's a dumbed down example, but an example nonetheless..just because his colleagues are mocking Obama doesn't mean a damn thing in what John McCain does or does not say about the man
Get off it already
If I respect someone, than I don't knowingly let my colleagues mock him. I'm not sure how you run your company. I guess in third grade your philosophy is pretty solid. But as a grown-up who is running for office, you'd better be prepared to back up what you say.

He's a POW. Maybe you haven't heard.
If you had McCain, the POW, and Obama, the community organizer, and that's all you knew about them...which would you vote for?
Point being, I'd rather McCain have POW on his resume then what Obama has on his
It's cheap if your actions represent the opposite of what you say.

Re: Obama/Biden vs. McCain/Palin: The Thread
I think the reason the countless reincarnations of the POW story doesn't sit well is because many Americans are tired of the Iraq war and what's perceived as a hawkish, militaristic approach to foreign policy. To many, it represents more of the same and it also underlines an out of touch approach to real domestic issues Americans are facing daily. There is no doubt that people respect his sacrifice for our country, it's just that pertinent domestic issues have been neglected while fighting what some would consider an unjust war.

What are you, the insult police? You're telling me that if you liked your boss and the other 26 people in your organization hated his guts you'd stick up for him to EVERY ONE of those other people?
Again, I think your full of it
