Oddly enough, Republican leaning posters are digging Rudy's speech. Democrat leaning posters aren't. Anyone wanna bet the same holds true for Palin's speech?

Oh, I don't know. They're making energy independence as one of their primary planks of the platform. Just in talking to different people in my circle energy is the biggest issue and they all agree with domestic drilling.the Republicans as a whole need to abandon any talk of drilling. Not saying they shouldn't favor it, but I don't think voters feel passionately about "drilling." Leave it at "energy independence" which most everyone can get behind.
I personally think it's an issue that could really hurt the democrats, especially if gas prices rise between now and November.
And here comes Palin...

That gets thrown around, but he's been a Senator and an annoyance to Republicans for a long time before Bush arrived.TimeForGuinness wrote:I think it is too.Michael wrote:Rudy's speech is really going downhill. Maybe that's my bias.
Should McCain be viewed as a Maverick when he "allegedly" voted with the Decider...90% of the time?

I think anyone who served in war is a better "American" than those who didn't. That doesn't mean I think they would make a better president.TimeForGuinness wrote:Who is the better American?stlouie_lipp wrote:Nothing, but he was comparing it to the whole POW thing and who is a better "American."Michael wrote:what the heck is so funny about community organizing?
