Why do you lock a game thread 30 seconds after the game?

Need support or have a suggestion on how to improve the site? Post it here.

Wouldn't not having a post game thread keep things less cluttered as well?

Maybe. My personal feeling is that having one post-game thread prevents multiple post game threads from sprouting up. Instead of one thread talking about how lame Skip is and how awesome Ankiel is, people gravitate to the post game thread.

Just so you guys know, we are discussing this. It isn't being dismissed off-hand.

Yeah, that's a strike against the post game thread. Combine that with the "other games" thread we've got 3 game threads a day. I see pluses and minuses with either approach.

Because of the thread above and the desire for continuity we're going to keep the post game threads. That being said, we appreciate everyone's feedback! We're always open to suggestions!

Maybe a forum for game day threads would be a good idea. Like you said, 3 seperate threads per day can be a little cluttering, and I know NSBB has a game thread forum.

I personally like this idea. But in the past Michael has mentioned his desire not to overly clutter the total number of forums we have.

I'm also a fan of the post-game thread. I personally don't read the play-by-play in the GDT, but I like to read/discuss the game afterwards. Having the two seperated make this a lot easier to do.

Michaels still a fascist though...

I really like the idea of game threads in BT but I dislike the clutter. It's not a prefect solution but I hope this helps:

At Club Med when the evening show is over they invite eveyone to leave the theatre and go into the bar.
