OK, now my hand is forced. I'm being opportunistically offered Jeter and Gregg for Haren and Greinke. On the FA list are Theriot, Keppinger, Aybar, Peralta, Betancourt, Barmes, and Lopez. I'm thinking of just picking up Peralta. Thoughts?

This is a sportsline league, 1 pt. for singles, runs, RBIs, SBs, and BBs, 2 pts. for doubles, 3 pts. for triples, 4 pts. for HR. So really no penalty for avg. and BBs count.

Thanks, clever. I also have Posada and Arod in the same league. I dropped Tulo and Smoltz to pick up Peralta and Encarnacion, but my inclination is to pick up another pitcher. Would you dump Posada? I have Doumit this week in his absence.

I'd seriously consider it. Posada at 36 plus shoulder problem isn't very encouraging, even with an eventual return to the Yankee lineup.

Doumit may end up outperforming him the rest of the year anyway.

Presumably you could put him on the DL were he to be out for the year, but then that would waste a DL spot.

That whole list is pretty stupid. Depending on the intelligence level of the other players in the league, you could always try to trade Posada's name and past performance for something useful, or at the very least for someone you could then drop.
