I probably would've put my money on Georgia had they played LSU on Saturday. They've been playing well and LSU hasn't looked like very dominant at all.
The Georgia team I see today is worlds different from the team I saw in the beginning of October. Tennessee beat them in just about every way imaginable when they came to Knoxville, and then it took a miracle for them to get past Vanderbilt the next weekend (where they subsequently rushed the field to celebrate a victory over the also-ran Commodores). They didn't take care of business when they really needed to, though, which is why they won't be playing for the national championship game. Regardless of how good they are now, I don't think they deserved a shot.

Didn't meant to offend! But they played when TN was sort of down, had suffered a couple of tough losses as I recall??? Anyway, GA really thought they would manhandle them.....it was the other way around. Truly, GA fans were stunned.

Yeah, at that point in the season the Vols were 2-2, having just lost to Florida 59-20 a few weeks before. Tennessee suffered three bad losses this season, and I honestly feel like all three were aberrations (if that's possible). In each of those games, they made one big mistake that snowballed into a huge deficit that made them look like a vastly inferior team. Their performance against teams like LSU, Georgia and Arkansas proves that they're very capable when they play up to their potential.
