Some times people don't deserve the PC term for their job. Janitors or in this case Secretaries. I'm just as stressed and busy as you are, don't get pissy with me if I'm being kind and polite.

Yesterday I went in to find out why I didn't enough money to pay for school this semester. After all sorts of questions and direction we found out I had applied for the whole year. I said oh the site wasn't very clear, I thought I had to apply each semester. She said no, you just assumed that is what it was. Kind of irritating that she was telling me what I thought.

So I got to the registrar (who schedules classes) to find out why my 4th classes wasn't scheduled yet. I had turned in a waiver form for the pre-req for a history class I want to take. The prof signed the form and he turned it in late last week. I told the lady, I'm curious why I do not have this 4th class in my schedule. She said it hadn't been added to my schedule yet (duh?). I said I understand, but are you waiting on formss? I just filled out this pre-req waiver form for the class and I wanted to make sure things got through. She said what is it? What kind of effin question is that? She said it was 'Departmental issues'. I said History doesn't schedule, the registrar does. She said no, you need to talk to your advisor.

So I go to my advisor to find out why I'm not scheduled for the class. Turns out the waiver was returned to her last week but she had not added it to my schedule because I didn't meet the pre-req. The history secretary had apparently asked what my GPA was and discovered I didn't meet the pre-req for the class. So they assumed that the waiver was for class space not pre-reqs. The class wasn't full though. She had the forms for days and failed to tell me. So i'm currently only at 11 hours for the semester and can't get my money to pay the damn school until I get signed up for at least 12 hours.

I wanted to change my meal plan for the upcoming year at SLU over E-Mail. I ran the math and if you get the cheapest plan, you end up saving about $700 off the average plan by just paying for everything in cash. Plus I'm going to be living in a dorm-apartment. So I send the E-Mail saying I want the 'commuter' plan for $200. I get a message back a couple days later saying "Sorry, the commuter plan is only available to students who live off campus, in an apartment, or have special needs." WTF, did this person even bother to check and see where I was living or if I was a commuter?!? Do your F'n job and check it my ID number (which I included in the mail for easy access). I send a reply back saying I am in an apartment and still wish to have it changed. I get no confirmation reply from this person at all. Several months later I see the plan is changed on my bill. What a b%*^$.
