Interview thread embarassing?

Post by Leroy »

Why don't you take a different approach if this is embarassing.

You could have them submitted by pm, and lock a thread and post the good questions, or you could simply delete questions you find inappropriate, or move them, like you do in baseball talk.

Didn't someone ask Colby about a woman, and what his favorite cheese was...and if I remember right, he answered them.

I don't think a funny question here or there is bad. But that thread was nearly hi-jacked with juvenile back and forth stuff.

Exactly.

So we have to PM questions because GRB has become so sophomoric? Isn't that a little disheartening?

Here's another thing, if we start deleting our moving threads we get criticized for being control freaks and killing the joy of the board. It's damned if you do and damned if you don't. We don't want to kill fun posts like yours however the completely juvenile stuff doesn't belong in the baseball forums.

BTW, I do think we went a little overboard with moving threads however we were trying to be consistent with what got moved.

Hah, I'm the only one replying here but... I cleaned up the question thread and locked it.

I guess I hadn't seen anyone say that before. I know it probably sucks to be a moderator, but I would say that if it is a thread is a stain on the forum, I guess you should take steps to prevent it. And tell Jim to shut up. :)
