That Harvey guy is available. Will we get him?
(BTW, I'm not trying to step in on jdk82. I hope he keeps up his good work in this thread.)

You're right. The draft is purely about drafting talent. Money does not play a factor at all. Procello just dropped to us at #18 because there were better options.ToughGuy_BlueShirt wrote:Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
let's see..
Could have Porcello and Harvey in your minor leagues right now...
Why is this so hard?

We all know money is a factor, we've been talking about that for quite a few pages now. But for the Cardinals, whose minor league system is still terrible, not to be willing to spend that money on a highly ranked pitcher, is really questionable for them. They really aren't in a position (from a talent standpoint) to be frugal.Kyle wrote:You're right. The draft is purely about drafting talent. Money does not play a factor at all. You're supposed to put sarcasm posts in blue font. As much as you post sarcastically, you should know that by now.Kyle wrote:You're right. The draft is purely about drafting talent. I'm starting to get sick of the money issue crap. Baseball isn't cheap, why try to compete if you don't want to pay for anyone? If you get good players, you're going to have to pay them. So you and the Cardinals rather draft mediocre players because they cost less and let the big time prospects go to the teams that will pay for big talent.

How many other teams' fans do you think are playing the "god we're cheap" card?
Edit: and the font thing is a lame fad that I won't take part in.
