Again, we're talking about perception, not the actuality(although you're kidding yourself if you think SLU was better than Mizzou this year).

Perhaps even more important is that area recruits already are expressing renewed interest in the SLU program. The junior class in St. Louis is one of the deepest in years, with at least 10 Division I recruits. The highest regarded of that class is 6-foot-6 Washington guard Scott Suggs, who was contacted by Majerus over the weekend, a source close to Suggs confirmed. Former SLU coach Brad Soderberg had become a concern in area recruiting circles because he had made little, if any, inroads among the area's strong junior class.

Imagine opening the new arena with Liddell, Lisch, and Suggs. Its unlikely but if anyone can get him to go to SLU over Florida or Kansas its Majerus.
