Just how realistic is the offense's start?

We're just a game or two under .500 right now and we're relying on Preston Wilson and near-triple plays to win games.

Things will come around. the pitching will probably get a little worse, the offense will probably get a lot better. When it's all said and done, we're likely to be right around the 82-88 wins many of us projected.

For your own mental sanity, you really shouldn't bother looking at the standings until June.

If it's June and Pujols is still hitting .200 then you can start to panic.

That's probably about right, but if Pujols is batting near .200 in the middle of May the panic button will be smashed.
