I read somewhere and if I find the link I will post it that they will have everyone available at the trading deadline besides Ryan Zimmerman. Anyone you guys think that would help this team?

I would like to see Ryan Church, If Juan isnt 100% which I dont think he will be by then.

IMO Church is a 25-30 Hr guy if given the chance to be an everyday player.

Luis Alaya would be a nice bullpen addition if by then is proven to be healthy.

I still like Austin Kearns. And Patterson would be nice to have to move Looper back to the bullpen.

But let's keep in mind that this probably won't be just a firesale. Bowden held on to Soriano last season because he didn't get just THE right package.

You might be right about that, but one would think he learned from that. Then again Bowden not the best GM around.

He certainly took a reasonably talented Expo team and drove it into the ground fast. And that's even after giving him credit for fleecing the Reds' GM last summer.

Not trading Soriano last year was unforgiveable.

He did make 2 good trades, 1 was taking advantage of his old employer in the Reds... and the second was taking advantage of another terrible GM in Bavasi in Seattle.

Kearns would be perfect for this team. Knowing the Nats GM he'll probably ask one of two packages:

1. Adam Wainwright and Anthony Reyes

2. Randy Keisler

Ain't that the truth.

I would like to get either Kearns or Church.

Another intriguing name is Ronnie Belliard...
