I heard some of it on the score. OMG

Did we have an over/under going on how many games into the season. Whoever picked 9's the winner there.
it's was only a matter of time :D
Yeah, but I expected him to make it through April at least. Honeymoon period and all that.

Hopefully he's building toward something truly epic for the June Swoon. I'm envisioning a magnum opus involving base-tossing and public urination.

Just keep this quote handy:
"This guy is your ace, you got a 5-0 lead with the eighth and ninth hitters coming up, you feel pretty good about that inning and all of a sudden it turns into a six-run inning. And then I bring in the reliever who's throwing 30-to-40-foot curveballs to boot. I can start to see some of the ways this team has lost ballgames."
An irate Lou Piniella after his Cubs lost to the Reds, 6-5, on Friday.

I'd like to see what he has to say today after Lohse completely shut down Lou's big boppers.

Not to make too fine a point, but Lou likes to call them his 'bangers.'

The cold weather and Doug Eddings. When you have Kyle Lohse and Ted Lilly combining for 20-some strikeouts where at least half of them are called 3rd strikes, there's gotta be a common denominator causing it. Pretty crappy game to watch too(regardless of who wins), it's not a real pitcher's duel since the hitters on both sides get bent over by mother nature and the dude who can be conned into turning a strikeout into a wild pitch with a bit of theatricality.
