I called Comcast last week and they said that they will not be carrying MLB EI this season. I asked them several times if that could still change and they said no.

Thanks for that info. I was waiting it out until the last possible moment, but since it's not going to happen I guess I'll just get the mlb.tv and get a few ST games. About now is when I start looking a little at what is happening during the games down there anyway.

Comcast really pi**ed me off the other day, so now I have DirecTV coming out on Saturday to see if I can receive their signal. If I get the signal, I'm going with DirecTV.

Also making the switch to Directv. All this bulls#it for nothing. I was very happy with Comcast but I dont have a choice now. I gotta go for the Redbirds... This whole situation makes me ill.

It was tough for me to get the mlb.tv package. I felt railroaded by MLB, but I have phone/internet/cable with Comcast in a package and wasn't going to switch. I'm finding every reason to not like mlb.tv, and so far after one day I have found plenty.

As we reported last week, some cable companies may look to offer deeply discounted or free subscriptions to MLB’s online offering for out-of-market games, MLB.TV. The move is in response to the deal that—short of intervention from the FCC or Congress—will place Extra Innings exclusively on DirecTV.

Today, Cox Communications becomes the first cable company to offer MLB.TV free to subscribers of Extra Innings last season via rebate. A special promotions page has been setup by Cox, and the disclaimer on the page reads in part, “Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., are not sponsors of Cox High Speed Internet service or this offer.”

i have Cox Communications as my cable, phone, and internet supplier
and i got a letter in the mail yesterday offering me free MLB tv.. i've
never been interested in watching games on my computer.. but shoot,
if it's free.. i'm all for it..

Take it, if nothing else you have the games archived and you can go back and look at an inning or two from a game you missed on the computer.
