Multiple teams have apparently now put forth offer sheets to Mintyukov now (he hasn’t signed any yet)
ANA really screwing up their RFA like what happened to EDM when we did the multiple offer sheets
Difference is obv ANA can match them all and retain them, but it will screw them over in a year or 2 as they’ll be at a higher AAV than they want/expect

PHI offer is also heavily front loaded with a full NMC in year 5. Don’t know if ANA was planning on paying Carlsson 20 [expletive] million next year lol!!

Minty signed with Anaheim. Still waiting on Nikishin news. On the one hand I’d LOVE for the Blues to acquire him. On the other how much would it cost and how much does he want to extend? Broberg money? More?
It would make the left side of the D locked down for a LONG time.
I kinda hope we get him. Would be a crazy amount of roster churn, which would probably make this year a big transition year (guys learning each other, the system, etc), but man we might be set up to really take a step next year. (And maybe Carbs and Jiricek are ready to join next year too)

I think they're out on Nikishin.
Rumor is that the Canes are insisting a team that acquires him, to take back Jesperi Kotkaniemi as well.
That's a contract at nearly 5 mil per season, plus you have to sign Nikishin to a contract as he's a RFA.

Yeah, the ask on Nikishin is way too high - hearing Neighbors, plus a couple of picks including a 1st rounder, AND having to take Kotkaniemi's contract too.
If they want him, I'd just offer sheet him. That way you're only losing picks and the cost of Nikishin's contract.

he's not eligible for an offer sheet, so only way to acquire him is to trade with the canesPopeye_Card wrote: ↑July 6 26, 7:57 amYeah, the ask on Nikishin is way too high - hearing Neighbors, plus a couple of picks including a 1st rounder, AND having to take Kotkaniemi's contract too.

Rules don’t apply anymore. Offer sheet him anyway!
