I’ll hate if the ducks pick Belchetz

He’s who I wanted all along and he was falling perfectly to us

I don’t like drafting a C at 11 if you are just going to turn around and trade for McTavish.

Also does this mean the McTavish deal is effectively dead? I had been talking myself into that deal lol.
Apparently 15 and 29 for him here

Too much IMO
Whoa! I’d have done 15/16 and maybe a small add from our glut of low or ld prospects (lower filler tier), but I agree on 15 and 29 being too much. I’d do 15 and 29 for McT and a 2nd.

That said what’s done is done. Now the Kyrou trade is sorta Kyrou and the 29th for McM, McT, a prospect and dropping from 15 to 16. That’s potentially too much. yeah, we needed to get a 2nd or something back.

That said, I feel better about having McM and McT to try out on the 2nd line. Both of those guys have shown 2nd line ability and production before. I’m not sure it’s the gamble I’d have made, but, I can see why they made the moves.

Banking on McM and McT growing. They’ll have the ice time so we’ll see. Can we get 65-70 goals out of the 2nd line?

The kid we drafted at 11 is years away. He’s 17. He’s like, end-of-Thomas’ current contract away from more than a cup of coffee most likely.
