That is four wins in a row for the Cardinals; four losses in a row for the Reds and they drop to 2 games below .500. The Reds are heading west to start a series in San Diego tomorrow while the Cardinals have the day off. Cards next series is on the road against the Mets.
Stank gets his second win on the year and is 2-0 while Reds reliever Moll takes the loss and is 1-5. Riley O'Brien picks up save #17.
Reds are now 2-13 against the Central Division. The Cardinals improve their record against the Central to 12-8 and improve their record in day games to 12-16.

Probably not gaining ground on Milwaukee today with them leading Colorado. Hope SF can cut down the Scrubs in the Sunday night game.CardsofSTL wrote: ↑June 7 26, 3:05 pm

I'm not even worried about Milwaukee, personally. Of course I'd love to catch them, but right now I'm just having so much fun being a semi decent team and a fun watch.
Last year had the same- or better- record at this point but was nowhere near as compelling to me, so I'm kind of happy, honestly.
Twice now I've thought the bottom was out of this roster and it's clear holes. Walker, Wetherholt, McGreevy, Burleson, Herrera, and some of the development in minors gives me real interest in watching.
Kind of fun again.

They don’t win this series with the roster they had two weeks ago. Making simple upgrades and not defaulting to a hopeless status quo made a big difference. So did getting Nootbaar back.
