Torres hits his second big league homer and first at Busch to make it a 3-2 Cardinals lead

Reds somehow have less pitching than the Cardinals.

I'm wondering if phins is changing the stakes on his bet?

Reds just got back Lowder and are without their biggest arm, Hunter Greene, until July. Paddack was DFA'd by the Marlins earlier this season and the Reds picked him up to fill innings lost by all the injuries to their pitching. If they had some healthier arms they would be faring a little better in the first half of this season I think.

I get the need to fill innings, but bringing in a guy who was DFA'd and has an ERA of seven into a game up one seems kind of sully by their manager.

McGreevy is finished after six innings and Soriano is first out of the pen.

McGreevy gave up two runs on two solo homers. Ends his day having thrown 83 pitches.

yeah not sure someone DFA'd by a team like the Marlins is an answer to many prayers but it is what they did.

The Reds have tied it up as McLain hits his second home run of the game off Soriano.
