Sounds good to me; prob as a result to bloom being unhappy to how Herrera was developed…
Molina, 43, is returning to the organization as a special assistant to president of baseball operations Chaim Bloom, the club announced on Wednesday. Molina will work with the Cardinals' catchers and the backstops in their Minor League system and help shape the development curriculum for those players.

Girsch is still a senior advisor on the Cardinals, apparently.

Seems like a weird title for that job, and being considered part of the FO instead of coach is interesting. But idk, maybe that’s normal.

Bloom wants to give him individual assignments/goals. He doesn’t want the coaching staff interfering with it. Doubt Yadi wants to be “underneath” any coach either.

Re: Yadi returns to Cards front office
I'm wondering if Bloom wants Yadi like he himself was; basically hidden under a special project and ready to take over; once the season is over and the probable lockout is over, then insert him in as the manager
of course if the rumored Oil extension happens that was talked about a few months ago, then that's obv not the case lol

My guess is that Yadi is the heir apparent to Marmol, and this is how they keep Yadi from taking a job with another organization while also getting very familiar with the 40-man roster.

I'll believe it when I see it. Yadi barely listened to his own managers. I doubt he wants to take orders from Oli. It would be cool if Bloom actually uses him like he should and Yadi commits to it.
Yadi taking over as manager for 2027/post lockout seems like a no brainer. Bring the fans back at the same time that the team is getting good.
