Re: Dogs
I shared a photo of my pekingese Charlie on here years ago, and @GeddyWrox we had a similar experience to yours in early summer. He'd been listless and vaguely ill for so long that it was almost a relief when the vet gave us the news. But he came over the Atlantic with us when we moved to the US and had been a feisty old fella for many years.
Now I have a pug, thanks to Mrs Mortimer's co-worker who as soon as we mentioned we were without a dog, seemed desperate to get rid of her. But she's awesome, even if she loves to bark when she's not being paid enough attention to, needs food, sees a shadow somewhere, or her toy has fallen off the sofa and she can't be bothered to jump down to pick it up.

Re: Dogs
I won't have to take Jake on his nightly walks anymore. No more haircuts, nail trimmings or trips to the vet. I won't have to share my breakfast anymore with the little guy, or get up in the middle of the night to let him outside. No more cleaning up after he ate too fast, or taking him all the way to the park just so he could smell that one special tree.
Sad thing is, I'd give just about anything today if I could.

Re: Dogs
So sorry Leroy. My son has a dog like that that is a real character and we all love him. When his time comes we will all be heart broken. But we wouldn't change a thing. All the best to you!
