Winnipeg was pretty clearly the better team tonight, but that was without Parayko and Holloway. They imposed their will on us for long stretches. I'm not sure how we'd fare in a 7 game series against them, even with P & H back.
Yeah. With them or Vegas likely our first round opponent, I don’t think we necessarily match up the best with either.

But this year is about experience and growth. Get bolduc, neighbors, toro, possibly snuggy and dvo some playoff experience so they can see what they’re up against.

And even guys who have had some experience, kyrou and Thomas and Holloway and broberg. Getting them experience as the team’s top dogs will be beneficial.

Things are looking up but we are still a tier below the big dogs… for now…

Looks like the oil might be without mcdrai and rnh. Dvo in on the third line lw in morning skate.

Even without Parayko and Holloway, this is a big opportunity to steal a win while the oilers top players are hurt.

Edit: bah, mcdavid might play.

Ugh. I didn’t stay up for it but a missed opportunity, losing to a depleted edm in regulation. Fortunately the flames lost in ot to Anaheim, so the blues magic number drops to a likely 3 points. (4 if cal wins out in regulation and we have no more regulation wins)

Too many missed chances and way too sloppy for long stretches (especially in the second). I didn't stay up for the third period either. I'm glad I didn't. Sigh.

It seemed like the Oilers had 34 guys on the ice and the Blues had 4. On the bright side, the Oiler goal with less than a minute to play wasn't because they pulled their goalie.

I didn't see the game last night. Sounds like I made the right choice to get to sleep early.

Crazy weekend about to start. Flames and Wild play each other tonight. A wild win in regulation and the flames are all but done. (1 point tragic number) a flames win in regulation would mean the blues and Wild are tied, with the Wild holding the tiebreaker on the blues.

The Wild play the canucks sat on a b2b, while we play Seattle. On Sunday Calgary gets a free win vs sj. (Though sj almost took down min the other day, so who knows)

The blues definitely looked gassed. I’m guessing the flames are too. With min getting their big dogs back, they are difficult to predict.

The playoffs could be decided by the end of the weekend.

Or not. (Lol)

Calgary wants it bad. Up 3-0 over Min after 2. A Calgary regulation win is probably the least optimal outcome for the Blues. lol. Gets us closer to Min, but is the only outcome that doesn’t lower our magic number. (Even a Cal win in OT would drop the magic number from 4/3 to 3 as they then couldn’t pass us in the tiebreakers.)

Haha, so much for being able to rest guys. They’re gonna make us earn it or go home.
