I did not expect this team to make this kind of push. What a ride.

Nice analysis, @JCShutout!

Canucks lose in regulation! Flames play in Colorado tomorrow. C’mon Avs, get mad at your loss yesterday! Take it out on the Flames!

While I don’t get to really watch Blues games anymore due to the lack of cable, I appreciate you guys posting these updates and analysis.

They always post a highlight videos on Youtube several hours after the game. They really only show the shots on goal, not the fights or really big hits, but it might be a good way for you to scratch that itch a little.

If you have a Roku, you can download the NHL app and watch highlights and/or condensed games the next day. (Caveat - I'm not sure if that is subject to blackouts for the home market team's highlights. Would be really dumb if it is.)

This is an interesting propostion:

Fired AND winner of the Jack Adams award in the same season? Could happen with Montgomery this year.

https://www.nhltraderumors.me/2025/03/a ... ld-be.html
After being handed his walking papers by the Boston Bruins back in November after a rough 20-game start to the season, Montgomery was quickly scooped up by the St. Louis Blues. And after an adjustment period, he has the Blues playing at a sizzling pace, on a nine-game winning streak, and in a virtual tie for one of the two Wild Card berths in the Western Conference amidst what had earlier been considered a lost season for the franchise.

The Blues have gone 31-16-6 under Montgomery, for a .642 points percentage. Only four teams in the NHL have a better points pct. over the course of this season than that.

One of them is the presumed favorite for the Jack Adams this year, Spencer Carbery of the Washington Capitals. With 103 points, the Caps have blown past their 91-point season of last year, still with 10 games to play.

Columbus Blue Jackets head coach Dean Evason is likely to be another finalist for the tremendous he did making them a surprising contender for a playoff spot after finishing dead last in the Eastern Conference last year, and especially for overcoming the preseason tragedy that took the life of Johnny Gaudreau.

Ryan Huska of the Calgary Flames and Scott Arniel of the Winnipeg Jets should also be given consideration.

As for Montgomery, it's not unfamiliar territory for him to be in the mix amongst the candidates for the award, having won it for the 2022-23 season with the Bruins.

This will be one of the more intriguing Jack Adams races in recent memory.

Min ties it late (bah!) but loses to nj in the shootout (yay!). Now they are only up one point in the blues and have played the same number of games as us. They are up 3 rw on the tiebreaker though so we need a 2 point swing. They have a massively easy schedule compared to us but are without two top players. We’ll see.

Avs up 1-0 over cal midway through the second

Colorado blew a 2-0 lead, losing 3-2 in a shootout to Calgary. This one really stings because it was an expected loss for the flames. Calgary remains too close for comfort.

Hey local Blues fans! Anyone interested in meeting up somewhere to watch Saturday's game? It's a home game, puck drop at 6. My GF is having an old friend over for a movie marathon and I don't want to interrupt. I'll most definitely be going somewhere to watch. I could go anywhere in StL County or City.

Dang, snuggles gets in his first game tonight. I’m guessing he’s on the third line with sunny and bolduc. Geez, that would be two really forking good shots on that line, but lots of green.

I wonder if they swap bolduc to the first line and Buchy to the third with snuggles to help shelter him in his first game.

Blues wearing their snuggies. Dvo knocking on the door and more exciting prospects getting ready to head to the ahl (I think), it’s an exciting time to be a blues fan
