Use it all the time. It’s great.
It is great. Ive found so many great movies using it. For example, I found out I love 40's screwball romcoms. The Lady Eve is a huge favorite of mine. I never thought I could love a movie like that. The stats and justwatch integration is also incredible.

Another nice feature on Letterboxd - lots of great lists you can like or copy to your own lists. The reason I watched The Lady Eve was I got a used copy of Movie of the Week by Peter Bogdonavich, which is just 52 movies he recommends with brief write ups, and sure enough there was a list for it on Letterboxd. Same for Tarantino’s latest book, and a docu-series called Story of Film that I watched on Amazon last year. Every movie referenced in there was on a list. So if I can’t think of anything else I reference those to find something.

If you have the criterion channel, Peter Bogdonavich does a nice intro for The Lady Eve. I'll have to check him out. I think I found The Lady Eve filling out a list on the letterboxd stats page. IMO Barbara Stanwick is amazing. Easily one of my favorite actresses ever.
I'm a big fan of Preston Sturges movies and I pretty much recommend anything from him in the 40's.

Thief is really underrated outside the film world. I wonder if the score turned people off for a while. I love it but that 80s synth took a while to come back into fashion.
Been a while, but I remember liking Sullivan's Travels by Sturges a lot. Definitely should watch more of him. Powell and Pressburger's stuff is another batch I want to get to soon. I've seen Black Narcissus twice, which is great, but nothing else.

Powell and Pressburger's movies are also shockingly good. The Red Shoes looks incredible. There's a dance sequence in middle that's incredible. scorsese is a huge fan.

Sturges' Palm Beach Story from 42 might be the most laugh out loud funny of any of his films, imo. Miracle of Morgan's Creek is supposed to be another of his classics but is the one I haven't seen yet. For some reason, Eddie Bracken doesn't do much for me.

Here was a big box office flop according to the guy I listen to on the radio in the mornings; but I haven't even seen a trailer for it. Guess I should go look at one.
