And get this!!!
We're now ninth on the all-time worst power play list. The Flyers are even three spots ahead of us, currently! WOOT

Yeah he made some awesome saves! I hope he got the game puck. Dallas is a good team.
If it weren’t for Arizona with a crazy comeback win vs Colorado we would be in a playoff spot. Still just a point back.

If anyone is following the World Juniors, the blues have 7 prospects playing for various countries, and several of them are getting noticed.
Snuggerud is probably the top of the list.
Check out this wicked one-timer!

Faulk hasn't looked good since coming back off the IL. Interesting to see him dropped to 3rd pairing.
Also, I hope Kessel keeps up his solid play. He's been looking really steady so far!

Re: StL Blues Season Thread 2023-24
yeah, he has not...think they rushed him back too soon
also, I get wanting to separate Thomas and Kyrou, but when he's not with a guy on his line that is fast/can give him the puck, he's worthless. he doesn't play D, so that 2nd line is just wasted with slow shenn and hayes (and shenn is awful...glad we have him 5 more years till he's 36 at a 6.5 AAV lol)
we just have too many bad contracts...
Krug, Shenn, Leddy...even binny
hopefully we can trade some these this season/offseason, or even buy some out (looking at you krug), which I know Army doesn't do
but it'll piss me off to watch Peru walk away, when he does what Krug does, but better and cheaper

Definitely agree about the big salaries on aging players. The one player you mention I don't have a problem with the salary is Binnington. He's a cup winning goalie. He has stretches of brilliance and is capable of taking over a series. He's not a top 5 goalie, but he's not paid like one either. I think his salary is commensurate with what you get from him.
But yeah, Krug, Leddy and others are very overpaid.

Binner is performing better than his numbers. He is left out to dry a lot.
He’s a top 10 goalie (with a salary that slots in that range) with the upside of a top 5-6 in a good year. Besides, the team is going to kinda suck/meh for at least 3 years and he is signed for 4. Sucks for him though. Will waste his prime years on a non contender.
The Schenn deal is so bad. (And I was in favor of it, yikes)
What sucks is Sanheim has been really really good. We were sooooo close to getting him for Krug.

So maddeningly inconsistent. Game to game and even period to period. Wow.

Re: StL Blues Season Thread 2023-24
And of course just to emphasize my point, after looking lifeless, down 3-1 towards the end of the second period, the blues somehow managed to wrest control of the game away from Calgary in the third and complete a comeback 4-3 on the winning goal with 45 seconds to go in the game LOL SMH.
I'll take it though!!!
