I can't remember the last time I had a cheesesteak sandwich. Now this thread has me craving one big time.CardsofSTL wrote: ↑September 22 23, 4:59 pmChicago shouldn't have cheese and it's dependent on the au jus which can open it up for failures whereas even an average Philly steak can be saved by copious amounts of cheese.

Honestly, Cheesesteaks sound great in theory, but for whatever reason they never live up to the sum of their parts. I think the problem is cheese and steak just don't go together all that well, or the steak strips are overdone and overpowered by the cheese, or there isn't enough cheese and the steak itself is bland. You force the bread in there and you also overpower the steak. You could probably get a better cheesesteak in general if it was on a tortilla rather than leaven bread.G. Well that pretty much just becomes a steak quesadilla I guess, but yes, mexican cheesesteak is better than philly cheesesteak.

LOL, the post timestamp shows 5:01am so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was delirious or still half asleep.
"The problem with a cheesesteak is that's it not a quesadilla."
It's borderline trolling.
