I meant to tack on to that - did Jocephus quit the board or is he just not active? I DM'd him a Grand Junction question a while before our trip and never heard back and then saw he hadn't posted for several months.

That's BS. He is not allowed to leave. I need a minimum of at least 5 jocephus posts per week.

I knew something was up when Katrina and The Waves made an appearance in the music tourney and he did not. Hope he’s doing well.

There was a kerfuffle in the fall, but hopefully he knows he's family here.ghostrunner wrote: ↑April 19 23, 5:42 pmI meant to tack on to that - did Jocephus quit the board or is he just not active? Re: Vacation 2023
We’re both still feeling the effects of post-COVID fatigue, so are considering flying instead of driving. One option is to fly into Midway, using SWA points, arriving mid-afternoon, getting a hotel by the airport, taking the El to see a Sox game, then picking up a rental car the next morning and driving up to Wisconsin. I’m just not sure how safe this would be - riding the El would mean taking it from Midway to the Roosevelt stop downtown, then transferring lines to get to the park. Reversing that after the game. Need some guidance from our Chicago guys as we’ve never used the El or visited anywhere in Chicago outside the Loop and Wrigleyville (and that was 40+ years ago).Radbird wrote: ↑March 23 23, 6:52 amWe will be going to Ireland this fall to visit my sister-in-law/hubby at their place on the coast west of Galway.
Also trying to roadtrip home this summer, hopefully stopping at PNC and GABP on the way. Haven’t been to Busch since 2016 and haven’t been to STL since 2017. Will try to get to a City SC game too. Won’t get there in time for the Blues or Battlehawks. Then up to Wisconsin and maybe catching games in some combination of DET/TOR/CLE on the way back.
And I agree with the recent posts above - @Jocephus, I hope you are well and we miss you.

Re: Vacation 2023
Heading to Austria for two weeks. Actually, a bit less than that and then a full day in Istanbul. Never been that far east before. Didn't realize that Istanbul sits on the boundary line of Europe and Asia. A few days in Salzburg, a few days in Vienna and a few more in a remote place in the mountains. Taking my new mirrorless camera and hoping for good weather!

That's kind of Istanbul's whole deal, historically. Always wanted to go. The bosphorus, Hagia Sophia, the Ottomans, etc.Richie Allen wrote: ↑April 30 23, 3:14 pmDidn't realize that Istanbul sits on the boundary line of Europe and Asia.

San Diego weather was pretty [expletive]. Just got into Kihei, Maui today and it is absolutely amazing.
