Love the color guy just chuckling to himself during the pbp.
Get off twitter and start writing some fan fic about how Kevin's cousin Mac Allistar on Argentina foiled the Wet Bandits in Qatar.

Look at these tiny kings laughing in the face of bill Simmons and his ignorant, prosaic narrative crutches!

I would love to know what Messi squats and deadlifts. His balance, core, and base strength for such a tiny man is insane. I bet he puts up numbers in the gym.

I was unfamiliar with Grant Wahl’s run for Sepp’s seat as FIFA president. That’s really cool activism.

Aneurysm. [expletive]. Those scare me. I better go hug my kids and carefully select their step father.

Uh oh. Morocco’s finally going to have to come out.

Really gotta give it up to Morocco. They’re more than just a bunker and pray underdog. They’re making things happen going forward. They could also be down multiple goals by now.

Wish I could watch the second half.

I'm super impressed with France and their manager's ability to cover for all of their injuries, while putting players in new roles. Griezmann used to be the focal point of their offense in past world cups, and now he's a box-to-box midfielder in the engine room. No Pogba, no Benzema, no Kante, and they're still cruising. A French team working through drama and injuries with healthy players making sacrifices to adjust to new roles? Unheard of. Deschamps is the man.

I stuck around until the second goal. Morocco came out in the second half and were knocking on the door and allowing France nothing on the counter. If they had gotten a goal, and damn, they deserved one, Deschamps could very well be under fire for subbing too late. The game changed and the second goal came after he shook up the lineup.

Taylor Twellman reporting that the player vote over Gio's status never happened. If that's true, Gregg looks really, really bad.

His timeline:
Gregg tells Gio that he's not going to play.
Gio loafs.
Players call him out.
Gio improves his effort and apologizes.
Eric Wynalda reports Claudio is pissed.
Gregg goes to the symposium and fabricates part of how he handled the situation.

GGG just cost himself the US job and probably damaged his reputation in the club world.

Unless he has some pathology, I wouldn't think he'd be that stupid. Obviously that's going to come back around. I'll put my money on some kind of misunderstanding. But maybe he's up there making [expletive] up.

Is Claudio important beyond being a USMNT vet?
