No disrespect to the MLS legend, but not even on Chara’s best day. Plus, Tyler don’t smile on the pitch.

Looks like the US and England have scored in their games.

Sargeant looks worthy of the start. So glad we got the goal. It makes things slightly better, but really it just changes the flavor of the tension. These dozen half-chances are going to become 3-4 golden opportunities as Iran chase. Have to be clinical. Scoring the game's next goal should make this an easy one to see through.

Finish. Gotta finish.

Our midfield and outside backs have been DOMINANT.

Weah and Puli have played so much. Take them out, I don’t care how much they’ll hate it or how well they’re playing. We’re not putting in Benny feilhaber or Ricardo Clark. We’ve got Gio and Brendo. Arguable upgrades. Let’s go

There's nothing quite like tournament soccer. Especially at this level.

Way to go, boys.

I don't like the way we've played and coached one goal leads. I didn't like the subs. Moore is the only player who has looked unworthy--and Yedlin looked fine, so I don't know what he was doing in there. Those criticisms do detract a bit from how well we defended. Very solid. Few chances. Couple feeble shouts for PK down the stretch.

That MMA midfield is wonderful. I think Sargeant played really well. Epic moment from Pulisic. Netherlands... yikes.

Baseline mission accomplished. Gravy mode unlocked. Go shock the world or don’t. We made it.

Dest looked like a man possessed. Impressive.

So, what's the speculation on why Reyna and Ferreira are getting so little playing time?
