ok, back in.

so what is the jacking with someones money defense? why bring it up if its not a defense, light as you claim it to be?
Why bring up not being surprised Pham is a dickhead? Because it's a forum and it's a discussion and I think a point of the story that is overlooked a bit. People don't just act insane without some background thing building towards it. Typically. Maybe I'm wrong there though. My cursory knowledge of the gambling world is that guys who are on the bottom (yes money you and I won't come close to sniffing, I get it) take it way more serious. Someone being from the poor side of Vegas who grew up in that world, combined with the chip on his shoulder mentality---well I can't say this is shocking.

I actually borrowed "Smart move" from CardsOfStl when he says that to people who say some variant "okay I'm done arguing this" and are going off topic in GDTs. This boils down to you just hating my opinion so much and that you have to say it over and over. Something that almost got me kicked off this forum for doing once in the TLR thread. I thought it was frowned on. But I'm not a forum cop.

It explains it more than you're leading on. Both the gambling world nature and Tommy's upbringing in a rough area of the biggest gambling city in the world definitely contributed to the makeup of his personality. Never seeing his mother as she worked long hours. Step dad stabbing him. Wearing braces on legs in school. Partially blind. Dealing with constant racism. His grinding in the minors while Cards called up lesser players likely reinforced it. I know you think it's a convenient explanation of his behavior. It's more commonplace than you think. Probably something buttoned up jocks like Trout and Pederson know little about though.

i guess if you grow up in hard conditions and succeed you never have to self reflect. if respect is so important to him, why doesn't he respect himself and leave this awful fantasy football group? why does he allow this "insane" behavior to take over himself?

you can't help yourself. you back pham 'cause you like him and his "passion", joc and trout don't behave the way you like ballplayers to do so they are buttoned up and stiff and bad. thats what this is all about, your weird fixations on how players should act.

I have no problems with Joc and Trout and buttoned up players behaving that way if they want. I don't think players who behave like Tommy are necessarily always "good." I'm just saying I understand it, and am not surprised given what I know about him. The take you have, in a vacuum, that would be more convenient.

You saying I have weird fixations is a projection. Unworthy of a comment beyond that.

I agree that Tommy should self-reflect and take some accountability. But I understand where he's wanting to hold guys like Joc accountable. Even if it seems silly (FF). Definitely should not slap anyone, damn.

He did leave the league. But he lost money still.

And I don't know. Not a therapist. But looking at his upbringing, and later life with Cardinals, and the constant racism he gets thrown his way, [expletive], hard to judge him completely as this big "awful" guy you're painting. But maybe I'm a little more empathetic to his situation.

Hopefully some positives come from this with Pham and he changes in a way where it can be a lesson to himself.

I missed this. I did say it once. Then you replied. And replied again. You can't post that my take is bad (attacking poster over post at that--thought was a forum no-no), then a follow up post clarifying, then you pretend to be astounded when responded to in a manner that makes it sound like I'm repeating myself. I have to repeat myself because you keep saying I'm defending Tommy's slapping, and I clearly never did. Not even sure I responded to it the first time it happened? For someone who says "[expletive] everyone who consumes this" you had to comment on it multiple times in multiple threads. One could say, you're "forcing" your opinion.

Trout allowed Pederson to cheat, and cheaters get punished. While he shouldn't have been assaulted, Pederson should be in jail.

If you're willing to slap someone over the money you lost in FF, you have a gambling problems. Ipso facto, Pham is not only abusive, he's an addict and should be kicked out of MLB.

Trout needs to resign as commish effective immediately and possibly write "[insert witty sentence here]" on the chalkboard 1,000 times.

Glad we got that taken care of. Now, the real question is what should Trout have to write on the chalkboard.

that comment was referring to other things you repeat ad nauseam (tlr bad, what stats one should *really* look at, how players should act on the field, many others since you arrived).

even if you are trying to pin this on me, i merely replied to your comments. Am I nOt AlLoWeD tO dO tHaT??? saying a post is bad is not attacking the poster, you've done it plenty of times. no need to make up my feelings on how or why i responded to your statements.

i accepted you said slap bad but you keep going in circles still defending pham. i responded to that. i didn't/don't buy your attempts to soften phams image. i admit, i consumed your [expletive] too much, thats on me.

i did not force you to say anything. you can GTFO with that charge.
