I just can't believe how much Raised by Wolves gives.
Season 1 started really slow, but season 2 gives you 3.5 insane things per episode. It's practically pornographic, except that it's never cheap. It's like an episode of peak Simpsons, but instead of laughs, dramatic developments come fast and hard.
What a shame it got cancelled. C'mon one of 85 other streamers, pick it up.

For All Mankind is a really fun show, especially if you’ve ever had any affection for the space program. Basically it’s what if the Russians beat us to the moon and as a result we never took our foot off the gas. Did all the things we’ve speculated about doing for years. Lunar exploration and out from there. I’m only in season 1 but it appears to jump forward in time pretty aggressively and season 3 just started airing
It’s a bit rah rah America in some ways but also gets in some criticism and in some ways the competition with the Soviets forces us to make societal strides we didn’t make in reality. A little cheesy in that way arguably but I can put that aside. I’d say it has some of the best elements of old Star Trek too. There’s serious conflict but overall it just feels good.
First 3 episodes burn a bit slow but it really gets going by end of 3 and the start of episode 4. Highly recommend.

This is what I keep hearing. It starts slow but gets really good. Since the release of season 3, I'm seeing a lot of endorsements to watch.ghostrunner wrote: ↑June 20 22, 9:33 pmFirst 3 episodes burn a bit slow but it really gets going by end of 3 and the start of episode 4. Highly recommend.

Yeah, the first episode especially feels something like Mad Men or even a more straightforward narrative drama. Which was fine, but not something I'd be looking to spend time on.thrill wrote: ↑June 21 22, 7:26 amThis is what I keep hearing. It starts slow but gets really good. AppleTV is getting up there with HBO in terms of quality. This and Severance are probably my favorite new shows in a while.

Season 1 of For All Mankind is a bit like someone put an Apollo 13 veneer on Mad Men until late in the season(and then for all of Season 2), when more stuff starts happening in space. Then it becomes something a bit more unique, but it doesn't lose that period drama vibe entirely, it's just an interesting juxtaposition of the dated aesthetics/mindsets and very futuristic happenings.

This tweet is hilarious:
MAGA has convinced itself that Homelander is the good guy in The Boys despite being not subtle at all, and the dude in the photo is based off of and looks like Matt Walsh.
