I'm not in the loop any more, but I'm pretty sure Imagine Dragons are non synonymous with "music that sucks but is on the radio for some reason," a space Nickelback once occupied.

Nickelback will get a huge Lulapalooza crowd draw in like 2025 like Limp Bizkit did last year and embrace their suckitude for hipster irony fanfare.

I may or may not have owned their CD back in the day. It was before their reputation had become what it is now. I mean, they're pretty awful. But there are plenty of current bands/artists that are worse IMO.

How about this group?

I was at a Panera Bread or something and one of the songs off this album started. I heard the guitar and immediately said “oh nice, must be a new Khruangbin joint.” Their sound is that distinct. Then I heard Leon’s voice and almost fell out of my chair. Awesome partnering up here.

I'm about 90% sure I've been to the ghost town (which is not a real ghost town, it was assembled with old buildings brought from other places) where this is filmed, in far far far east Austin.
