Permanent Daylight Savings Time

Post by ghostrunner »

I didn't even know this was being voted on again. Putting this in here because I *think* it's not a partisan issue. Feel free to move it if I'm wrong.

I like it for us here, though if it happens I'd want to go to Central Time. Which would put Indiana back where it was before 2007 when we didn't change the clocks.

I'm in favor of it. I hate the extra hour of darkness in the winter.

I certainly don't mind it, but I wish Louisville were in the Central time zone rather than Eastern. It's a pain in the a** that the sun sets at 9:20 p.m. in the summer.

I didn't even know they were seriously considering this.

Excellent move and long overdue. Dozens, potentially hundreds (some say thousands) of people needlessly die each year in part due to daylight savings time.

In before someone blames the communists or trump and we have to move this to politics.

I am for doing away with the time change. It makes me grumpy. Especially the one we just had.

In fact I am still grumpy. So grrrrr.

Well, yeah, it just shifts it around, but I’d rather have some daylight after work than before/during.

Love this idea! Thought it was a good idea for a long time but assumed it was kind of a personal weirdo crank thing that would never happen.
