correct; it's an emergency backup from the lightening, since we can't get cap compliant in time tonight

and we're bringing up Lindgren tomorrow, but will have to be shorthanded AGAIN as we'll have to ship some out out to be cap compliant.

this is stupid...if they're going to make fully vaccinated players miss games, then they need to provide cap relief to replace those players

100% yes. Teams are not going to be able to manipulate the cap to bring in some multi-million dollar star player for a couple weeks while a player is out with COVID. This isn't that hard.

Seems like an issue they need to address sooner than later. Been doing a little digging on this new variant and it’s likely you’ll see a lot of positives, regardless of vax/previous infection, for the foreseeable future.

Also, hot damn. The nhl covid protocol is comprehensive. Read through it just now and kudos to them for a - salary cap issues ignored - pretty good job.
