That was an incredibly undeserved win aside from Binny, but take it.
Yep. Totally. Binny gets all three game stars. LOL.... He was outstanding.

After the prior game shootout disaster, I figured this shootout for a loss. Excellent work all game long by the goal prevention specialist.

I know every team goes through tough stretches, and we've been hit hard with covid and injuries. But gosh dang these last two games were hard to swallow.

Clawed back into both games after being outplayed for long stretches only to lose in regulation with less than a minute to go.

DOUBLE OUCH

I'm not too mad; 2 of the hottest teams and it took last minute goals to beat us...if we were getting beat 5-2 I'd be mad

I had heard they wouldn't be able to bring up Perunovich without doing something about the cap situation. Interesting. Sunny activating will also force their hand with the cap as well.

EtA: ...as you noted. LOL.. that's what I get for replying before I even finish reading.

They sent out Joshua, Rosen, and Hofer so that made cap space for perunovich

When sunny comes back we’ll be over and will have to make a move

Clifford just waived as well, so sunny must be ready.

with waiving him we're JUUUUST under the cap by 93k once sunny is activated.

Crazy cap crunching Batman!

I’ve been busy but that crazy Binner win was amazing. Losing two late is really rough. I know we’re short handed, but damn, even just a point against both would have been nice.

Oh well, get healthy and back to work.

This is from the minor league hockey ranks, so I'll understand if it doesn't get much traction, but this story is wild. I somewhat followed the Lancers when I lived in Omaha and also when I worked for one of their rivals.

Basically: much of the coaching staff and front office has resigned and the players are likely to pull a wildcat strike this weekend. Lancers ownership is no longer paying for goods and services, like meals on the road or hockey sticks. It's standard for teams to pay for these because USHL players are unpaid so they can retain college eligibility. Many of the players are now looking to get traded, even as the team itself has been pretty successful this year.
