If the vaccine was working as designed, ie actually stopping the contraction/transmission of this disease this wouldn’t be a debate at all.

This is not how vaccines work.

All vaccines are in the mid to high 90’s of efficacy, but when enough people get them, that is enough to effectively prevent large outbreaks, but only if enough of the “herd” gets them. Not enough of the herd has gotten them, for tons of reasons, all equally flawed as your logic above.

And your point about the vaccine being potentially harmful to some is exactly why all healthy people need to get it, to protect those who can’t effectively reducing the number of potential carriers of the virus to a small enough group that the unvaccinated are protected.

I’m exhausted by these tedious conversations. Just get the shot if you can. Don’t be an [expletive].
