They also used that case to support forced sterilization so you’re on the right side of history referencing that one!GeddyWrox wrote: ↑August 24 21, 12:58 pmIt was relevant because the SCOTUS decided it is constitutional, when in the best interest of a healthy society, to mandate vaccines. You said "don't mandate this expletive on me". Relevant.
We've had this discussion before. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few/individual. Or in other terms, your individual liberties do not permit you to endanger those around you with hubris and callousness. I know YOU mask. That's great. Kudos. But it IS constitutional to mandate vaccines.
Also, if you read the wiki post, at the end, they say this decision has been upheld multiple times since. And it also says that the SCOTUS also stated that in the case of provable harm in certain circumstances, exceptions could be made.

Re: Coronavirus
BOY, YOU SURE GOT ME THERE. Because abuse of a law/ruling happened in a completely unrelated circumstance, we'll just go ahead and stop doing what's really best for everyone.
Thank god I have seen the light. Can I remove my vaccine now? I take it all back.

Re: Coronavirus
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I’ve never once told anyone not to get the vaccine, so no….i don’t see that as the same situation at all.
If the vaccine was working as designed, ie actually stopping the contraction/transmission of this disease this wouldn’t be a debate at all.
But since they are attempting to MANDATE this vaccine, and in some cases w/o medical exemption, then yes…they are doing this at the expense of those who the vaccine might harm.
