If you're looking from something other than STL style pizza I would suggest A'mis for deep dish (in O'Fallon) or Dewey's (St. Charles)/East Coast Pizza (Chesterfield) for more of New York Style.Transmogrified Tiger wrote: ↑May 11 20, 2:15 pmI have tried hard in recent years to let people like what they like when comes to food, entertainment, fashion, etc. St. Louis pizza is maybe the hardest topic to do so, since I struggle to call it 'food' per se. But to each their own. The thing that bugs me as a local is that it limits the opporrtunity for edible local pizza options. When there's Imos, Stefaninas, Cecil Whittakers, etc everywhere, I'm left with predominantly national chains when it's pizza night.InvincibleCakeEater wrote: ↑May 10 20, 2:20 amSounds like you pretty much did it right.

Sadly, Lubeley’s is history. Knock another standard stop off the hometown visit list. But in its place is the St Louis BBQ Store which looks like a pretty cool place for grills & accessories.Radbird wrote: ↑June 8 16, 7:09 pmLubeley's BakerySchlich wrote:Where do you guys get your gooey butter cake from/where's a good place to get it? When I saw that, and re-read the thread, I panicked about whether my favorite STL pizza place was still around. Thankfully, it appears that Farotto’s still exists. And yes, I love IMO’s too. I may have to try goldbelly.

fwiw they may have stocking issues? or high demand? so i tried 'em out last spring, enjoyed it as something different and then never really thought about it again (although at some point last year one of my folks said i would have had to have had some on a family trip to stl as a kid, etc). then it seems around the 1 year anniversary it popped in my head again and it was an easy experience with goldbelly so i would look for it and it was always sold out. every once in awhile this spring and summer i'd check and always sold out. then i happened to look this week and it was there. so who knows but fyi. also fyi, they do have like, free shipping if you ship it on a weds and it arrives friday? i dunno, but it works that way. also, you can always find a promo code after a quick search. i did it last time and this time. it's always like "GETINMYBELLY" or something like that. $15 off (over $50 i think?)...so, for me its about $50 for 4....which doesn't seem bad considering all the logistics and such.
