No, I'm asking for details. Is this a federal thing? I know some states and some employers have stepped up, but I wasn't aware of this. I'm just surprised. I think that most people aren't aware of this.CardsofSTL wrote: ↑April 10 21, 11:12 amAre you asking if I made it up?Socnorb11 wrote: ↑April 10 21, 7:57 amIs this true?CardsofSTL wrote: ↑April 9 21, 2:29 pmSomething that folks might want to keep in mind; the original CARES act that gave 80 hours of paid leave for people with coronavirus symptoms/positive tests did not originally cover feeling ill after vaccination; but the new bill that extended those benefits does allow 1-2 days of paid leave following a vaccination.

The CARES act is federal law but with the extensions that have been passed it was left up to the employers whether or not to participate in the paid leave portions. My little company is doing it so if yours isn't my suggestion is find a better person to work for. The most recent bill allowed for the time off following the vaccine but some states and employers may differ of course; every individual will have to look into it depending on their situation. But it's worth checking out if anyone is having any averse reactions or have been afflicted with the covid itself.

Just because she said she had a headache doesn't mean it was the vaccine.ghostrunner wrote: ↑April 10 21, 8:58 pmHad my second Pfizer shot Thursday and no big deal for me. My wife felt crappy yesterday but felt fine today.

My 2nd shot last Thursday afternoon started hitting me hard Friday mid-morn, didn't fully recover until today. Was delirious with head/body aches, don't remember feeling as bad as that in years.

Well, I felt sore like I had been in a car accident after installing flooring, but pushed through a very busy Saturday night and basically slept all day Sunday. Body aches have completely disappeared but it was not fun. Taking the night off wasn't really an option unfortunately.

Was it Moderna, by chance? It seems like all the people I know who had Moderna (myself included) were hit way harder by that second dose than anyone I know who had Pfizer.st.lewis11 wrote: ↑April 11 21, 6:03 pmMy 2nd shot last Thursday afternoon started hitting me hard Friday mid-morn, didn't fully recover until today. Re: Got your shot?
Ugh. Oh noes, I'm getting Moderna #1 tomorrow. I also keep hearing that one is rough, but the wife is scheduled for a Moderna next week and I'm going to serve as the test dummy. If it sucks as bad as I keep hearing I might try to convince her to go with Pfizer.
