Re: Coronavirus
So yeah I tested positive. I feel fine now but with diabetes probably wont be fun.
Shelly basically feels like a sinus infection, and cant taste or smell. Other than that she is ok.
I will kinda try and let you know how things go.

Re: Coronavirus
FB, we have a guy in our office that is about 40 years old pretty obese. He tested positive when being screened for an elective surgery. Stayed asymptomatic throughout. Later tested positive for antibodies.
I had a close friend, also about 40, who had pretty mild symptoms but a headache that persisted for 3.5 weeks. Not a bad headache but he said it was like a dull hangover where his head hurt. He had been taking distancing pretty seriously to the point when the contact tracers called they were prying for more information to the point they just asked him to be honest about his contacts. And, he had to tell them, "I have honestly been working from home. My wife doesn't work. We haven't gone anywhere or done anything the previous 3 weeks besides when one person would go to the grocery store and we go for walks in the neighborhood. No one has been to the house except for X who came over for about 5 minutes and wore a mask." His wife and two young sons tested negative. Stories like that make me think this thing is so easily transmitted but only a few of us can really get it bad.
I have two uncles, one who is about 70 and weighs about 350 and the other who is about 60 and has had two heart surgeries and weighs about 400, that got it. Both had headaches, fatigue, and bad bodyaches but recovered within a week or so.
The sickest anybody has gotten that I personally know and was confirmed to have it is my neighbor. African American about 45 that weighs about 450. Big boy, old o-lineman, is a chiropractor now. His wife got it at work and got pretty damn sick. He was telling me she had bad headaches and fatigue. He said he had bodyaches all through his body, had a bad cough, was tired as [expletive] and was having chest tightness/breathing issues. After a day or two and with his condition deteriorating, he called the hospital and they had him in. He said he showed up, they took him to a room and gave him some medicine, hooked him up to an IV. He stayed for less than a day and he felt good enough to go home. He got home and felt like death for another 3-4 days but whatever they gave him, and he didn't know which is crazy, fixed the chest tightness. He was telling me this and was like...dude, it ain't the flu. Avoid this mofo at all costs. Which...obviously. Then he said the craziest part was he and his wife were sick as a dog. But, their 14 year old son got it and didn't have any symptoms whatsoever. I was like...J! Have you not been watching the news at all!?!?
My f-i-l also is just now getting over it. He has epstein barr? and some pretty serious heart conditions stemming from a motorcycle wreck a decade ago or so. Basically his heart is structurally [expletive] up. But, he got real fatigured and had headaches pretty bad. But, is getting over it.
Two B-I-L and S-I-L that got it, all younger than me, and they all walked through it with no/few symptoms.
Basically, this is a long way of saying it's almost exactly what the news has been saying. Symptoms vary person to person. Hope you find it comforting though

Re: Coronavirus
Good luck, homie. One thing to keep in mind, surely your doc will echo this, is the virus hides itself in sugar...so, it is probably best to keep your BS in check as much as possible which is easier said than done. If you're like me, my BS goes crazy high or low when I get a virus. With the inconsistencies, it makes it really tough to manage. But, constant checking and a low carb diet helps.

Thanks AWBeerstrike! That makes me feel a bit better to hear it from someone I "know." I really appreciate your sharing!
My 48 year old BIL had it in April as many of you recall and my 23 year old nephew. Both were very sick for about 15 days but recovered.
I can't help but still be terrified about it. But almost relieved as well when I thought I might have it yesterday just so I could get on with life or not but not have to worry about it as much - if that makes sense.

My 75 year old uncle has it. So far, it's acting like a cold or flu. But both he and my aunt are cancer survivors, so there's reason to worry.
