I have a rapid test scheduled at 445 today at CVS.

I am nervous and scared. I have underlying health conditions that I have taken very seriously since 2018 and have kept in check. I hope that will help me but who knows. I guess I shouldn't worry too much until I have a positive test.

joce,
I have a runny nose, some congestion and slight tickle/cough in my throat. Some GI problems the last couple of days too. I don't feel bad, but I don't feel 100%.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, Bulldog. There's a very good chance you just have the crud. But you're doing the right thing to get tested.

FB, if you are doing CVS they say test results are running 2 to 4 days. Hope it turns out well.

My symptoms are like yours, FB nothing crazy. But I am old and started cranking up exercise, -behind on sleep from helping with grandbaby a few overnights recently. and drank a few beers at night. my baseline is messed up

work schedule and health wise, I hopefully could handle covid personally. my big worry is the domino effect with immediate family in-contact and their jobs, childcare etc.

I got the rapid test at CVS.

And... it was negative.

I'm glad I don't have it but I was okay with a positive test and being able to move forward no matter what happens. However, being this close to a vaccine it would really suck to get it and die...

Just a heads up, not that we need any reason to avoid a vaccine:
"Be Cautious" Taking COVID Vaccine If You Have This Condition, Warns Fauci

"If I were a person that had an underlying allergic tendency, I might want to be prepared that I might get a reaction and therefore be ready to treat it," Dr. Fauci said during a talk with CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta during "COVID-19: Chasing Science to Save Lives." He advised those dealing with it—"that they might be cautious about vaccination, or at least be prepared to respond with some sort of antidote to the allergic reaction."

Fauci broached the topic when asked if he was concerned about the two healthcare workers in the UK, who suffered a reaction shortly after receiving the vaccine on Tuesday. It led UK health authorities to warn that anyone with a "significant history of allergic reactions" should not be given the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.

"Well, it obviously is of some concern because there are people who have what's called allergic diathesis or a tendency to get allergic reactions. I believe that both of those individuals did in fact have that tendency," he explained.

However, he isn't surprised, as "these are the kinds of things that happen when you implement large vaccine programs. Remember we had 30,000 people in the Moderna trial and 44,000 people in the Pfizer trial. Once you start implementing the actual utilization of the vaccine in a clinical setting, you're talking about millions of individuals getting vaccinated. So you may start seeing effects in some that might not have been picked up when you were dealing with thousands," he continued.

He also pointed out that this is a good example of why it is important to have a variety of vaccine platforms. "So if in fact, we do find out that there is a consistent issue of certain subset of people like those with allergic reactions, you'll always have other vaccine platforms that you can use and hopefully you will not see that with those other platforms," he said.

The wife tested positive Tuesday and I will find out today what is up with me. It just feels like it is getting closer and closer and I can't avoid it forever.

Sorry Leroy. I hope you guys recover soon. My assumption is that if someone in my household has it, we're all going to get it.
