was wondering about that. fangraphs has had a couple posts regarding their numbers being down and how bad it's been for them, etc. scary.

Yeah, I signed up for a membership for Fangraphs to help them out. I spent a ton of time on that site, so i'd be really sad to see it go away.
GRB hasn't had to take such drastic measures thankfully. Radbird has been furloughe, Heyzeus and Planet have had their pay cut 20%, and CardsofSTL has been working the street corners by his house to pay for hosting.

That doesn't make sense here. Is everyone working harder than before because their significant other is home too and seeing what they are actually up to all day?

I would assume a lot of visits to GRB are for a specific purpose. Let's say a certain member will go to GRB 3 times in one day. Maybe a member hits the site in the morning to see if there's anything interesting. Then in the afternoon they hear about Dylan Carlson getting called up, so they visit GRB to see other posters responses to that. Then that evening the Game starts and they get on GRB to follow the GDT.
During a busy March that's 3 visits to the site, right now with no news and no games that's 1 visit.

I want to thank Theo. My first unemployment check has arrived and I’m enjoying the pay increase.

To be fair I've been working these corners since before all this happened but it was supplemental income back then.

That's with not taking money for the first few years of working those corners since you didn't want to lose your amateur status.CardsofSTL wrote: ↑April 13 20, 6:40 pmTo be fair I've been working these corners since before all this happened but it was supplemental income back then.

The NBA, NFL and MLB are dreaming up ways to play amid a pandemic, with talk of isolating players in Arizona or Las Vegas or maybe on the moon. It all sounds great, until you talk to people who actually know science.
