Mariners and RHP Sam Tuivailala avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $800,000 contract.

Tuivailala was arbitration-eligible for the first time. He missed a large chunk of 2019 while recovering from Achilles surgery but pitched well after returning and should be in line for a high-leverage relief role in 2020.
