I loved season 1. Then it seemingly took forever for season 2 to come out and I couldn't get back into it. Haven't even watched a full episode of season 2 yet, and if I'm being honest, it may not happen.

It's taken a very weird path over 4 seasons. It's been sort of a Wire-like approach in that they've explored a lot of different facets of the world and not really had an overarching story outside of Juliana and Smith who I think are the strongest characters with one exception (who I'm really missing in the final season.)

Every season has been a readjustment, but taken on those terms I've really enjoyed it. There's some interesting stuff in the final season with Smith's family and general fatigue with the oppressiveness of the Nazis. The Black Communists are a new element and I'd have loved another season with them.

Plot wise, it's pretty questionable and convenient how it wraps up but I'm not sure there was a satisfactory way to end it.

I've watched 4 episodes of The Shield on Hulu. I know the show has gotten a lot of praise, but it feels dated and corny to me in a lot of ways. As a counterpoint - The Sopranos is timeless. I can understand why it was a big deal back in the day because it's serialized and "edgy", but does it get better?

In my opinion, if you don't like the early episodes you won't like the rest of it.

The 36 different things that I pay $9.99/mo for were getting stale so I signed up for a 37th, hulu, so I could stream PEN15 and Shrill then hopefully remember to cxl before my free trial ends.

I'm halfway through PEN15 and it. is. AMAZING. So delightfully absurd, and I think the visual of the two of them being obviously 30 years old and standing a half a foot taller than the actual children playing the rest of the parts, and also being intimidated by little kids, will never get old or be un-funny.

I'm so thankful you suggested PEN15. I would have NEVER watched it if you hadn't posted this. The show is destined to become a cult classic. Simply incredible.

Also, I watched the first season of Fargo and it was amazing. I'm trying to have some self control and not power watch the whole series.

I think I've mentioned on here before about my godawful memory when it comes to TV shows and movies. You can ask me about a movie I watched 6, 8 months ago, and most of the time I won't remember a damn thing about it. At best, I could tell you if I liked it or not and give a very vague summary of the most major plotline.

Sometimes, this is truly a blessing. I had watched True Detective season 1 when (or thereabouts) it first aired. Remember loving it. Never did see season 2, as I decided to cancel HBO for a few years (and remember reading some not-so-great things about it). I do have HBO again, so I was going to watch season 2 (and discovered there was a third season), but could remember almost nothing about season one other than the fact that Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey starred in it. So I decided to re-watch it before going to season 2. Well, [expletive] me if that isn't just one of the best seasons of TV ever made. Holy [expletive] [expletive] that was good. I can't wait until 2021 or so when I can watch it again for the first time.

But then I started watching season 2, and I gotta tell you, I'm just not feeling it. I know it's a whole different vibe, but I honestly don't even know what the hell's going on. On top of that, I don't find a single character to be remotely likable. I think I'm about 2, 2 and a half episodes in, and I'm thinking about jumping ship. Is it worth sticking it out? And if not, is season 3 worth getting into? The few reviews/ratings I've seen seem to suggest that it's better than season 2 but not up there with season 1 (but how could it be?)

The Witcher is both plot dependent and also unwilling to explain what’s going on most of the time. It’s really weird. If you go into it with no expectation of understanding why and when things are happening, you’ll be better off. It’s got some fun monster battles and they pull off a pretty convincing fantasy world.

Based on the imdb reviews I watched Good Omens on Prime. Good Omens has extremely British humor which is a good thing, but unfortunately it is very corny. Can't recommend it.
